Let's talk about money! Forbes magazine ranks Muskesh Ambani 17th among the world's richest people with a net worth of $91 billion at the time of writing this line. At some time it has already been thirty billion more, but we don't have to worry about Muskesh, his wife Nita and their three children Isha, Anant and Akash. Their reserves should last for a few days.
Anant's wedding celebrations, which stretched over months in the Olympic year of 2024 and were of course also attended by Kirsty Coventry and FIFA clown Gianni Infantino were the most expensive wedding in human history to date. Should any of the three Ambani children marry again, the wealth is likely to be enough to surpass the lavish festivities of the past year. Superlatives are important in these select circles.
Many of you, dear readers, are of course aware that Nita Ambani, who has been a member of the IOC with the backing of Thomas Bach since 2016, prefers to be known as a philanthropist.

Nita is allowed to remain in the IOC at least until she turns 70 in 2034. We can already assume that the uncrowned Indian Queen will be granted an exception to the age limit when the time comes, i.e. at the IOC session in Salt Lake City in 2034. Four years are added on for sure, so Her Highness can also enjoy her own 2036 Olympics as an IOC member.
Incidentally, there are serious projections that Her Highness and her husband may have provided argumentative assistance to 15 of the 48 votes with which Kirsty Coventry was elected IOC president in March – I think that's the legally correct way to put it.
Tamim, watch out!

Mukesh and Nita could basically finance the 2036 Olympics in Gujarat, for which they are fighting so hard, out of their own pockets. That would be a service to their homeland. That would be truly philanthropic.
The Olympics in the home state of the richest Indians (Mukesh Ambani, Gautam Adani) and the most powerful politicians (Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah) financed by the richest individuals in Asia?
Nonsense, of course it doesn't work like that. The Olympic project, into which billions from the state treasury have already been channelled, will primarily make the Modigarchs even richer.
Huge property deals, all kinds of public contracts. It's all been prepared. It's been going on for a long time. And it will continue forever.
