World Triathlon: fake president, fake elections, fake oversight

Since we broke the story, more witnesses have come forward to confirm the widespread election collusion at World Triathlon. We have names, documents (as exclusively published), photos and video footage. Is there anyone in Triathlon and the Olympic family willing to stop this madness? The athletes?

We are family! And we protect each other. (Photo: World Triathlon)

It is interesting to watch, again and again, how delegates in Spain stare at pieces of paper and/or their mobile phones during the so-called election on Monday, following the instructions they received for the fake election: they work their way through the names and click on the voting device as they were instructed to.

Some of them then take a photo of the screen of the voting handheld, most likely to prove to their bosses that they have followed the instructions. As reported exclusively yesterday, the voting instructions were distributed in advance by email, WhatsApp (and other messenger services) and even in printed form – to the majority of the delegates at the XXXVII World Triathlon Congress, especially those from America, Asia and Africa. The voting instructions match the results of the fake election almost 100 per cent.

Video footage is available.

The long-time ruler in the administration of World Triathlon, the current fake president Antonio Arimany (Spain), claims not to have commissioned or distributed these illegal voting instructions. He claims not to have known about them. He even speaks with impudent stupidity of "manipulated information of a journalist".

Arimany is talking nonsense.

The documents – photos, video material, the election instructions, plus numerous witness statements – show that the elections in World Triathlon on 21 October 2024 were not elections, but a near-total manipulation. Grand scale collusion.

Triathlon documents raise fears of vote-rigging
In the elections of World Triathlon, the desired results were already distributed before and during Congress. The two-page list suggests illegal collusion and complete manipulation. The new president Antonio Arimany claims that he was not involved in the dubious events and has no knowledge of them.
“Unholy alliances, dodgy deals and dirty tricks”: World Triathlon has the president it deserves
As outlined yesterday, the Spaniard Antonio Arimany was elected today as the third president in the history of the young Olympic Triathlon federation, following an election campaign that was characterised by “collusion, pressure and coercion to manipulate”, according to his challengers.
Groundhog Day in World Triathlon: “collusion, pressure and coercion to manipulate” the presidential election
In the next weeks, several presidential posts in Olympic IF will be filled. The first decision will be taken at World Triathlon Congress in Spain on 21 October. Three presidential candidates complained to IOC president Thomas Bach about the dubious machinations of the Spanish Triathlon leadership.

As I described yesterday, CAS vice president Arimany and his compatriot and predecessor Marisol Casado (long-standing IOC member) don't have to fear a raid.

Olympic sport at this level of the federation's top is largely a legal vacuum, no prosecutors or detectives will enter, no documents, mobile phones or computers will be confiscated – as would be necessary. Everything can continue as before in World Triathlon and elsewhere:
